Both Pitchfork and FACTmag are tripping over the fact that Danny Brown is writing a Sessian children's tale inspired by his daughter. This was revealed in an interview with Australian radio station Triple J.

As Pitchfork transcribed the interview, "'It's been taking me forever to finish. It's really about self-esteem in black girls, I guess,' he said. 'You know how black women do so much—process their hair, change their eye color—it's really about a little girl who does all these things to herself and changes herself and she realizes she's just better off the way she is.'"

FACT reports that Brown declaimed in the interview "What was going on in that guy’s brain to be able to write those things? I think I AM Dr. Seuss! I’m The Grinch, I’m all his characters come to life in rap music."

We cannot wait to see this book, though we will not currently hold our collective breath waiting for it. Our latest interview with the Detroit superstar, from a few months ago, is here.
