A Detroit police officer was fired Tuesday after an internal investigation found she was dealing drugs and threatening people.

Police Chief James Craig said the 29-year-old probationary officer was arrested Sunday after receiving a tip that she was a drug trafficker.

Police also arrested a companion who was a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police didn’t release the fired officer’s name because she has not been formally charged.

The investigation was turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, which will determine the charges.
