Welcome 2 My Nightmare, Alice Cooper’s sequel to ‘75’s Welcome to My Nightmare, is scheduled for release on September 13 this year but Coop is going to play a few songs on the Nights With Alice Cooper radio show on Friday.

According to the press release, “On this special W2MN premiere edition of Nights with Alice Cooper, Alice dishes on the array of collaborators on the new CD, including original Alice Cooper members Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith (reunited on three tracks!); global pop superstar Ke$ha, and legendary Alice and Lou Reed guitarist Steve Hunter, who is part of Alice’s current touring band and featured prominently on the first Nightmare album. During the five-hour program, the show will follow its normal format in addition to airing the world premiere tracks, and that means popular recurring NWAC segments like "Cooper's Closet Classics,” "Freaky Facts," "This Day In Rock" and boatloads of classic rock songs will be broadcast as well.

Detroit’s Johnny “Bee” Badanjek, who played on the original record, hasn’t been mentioned as a collaborator this time, while Dick Wagner, who co-wrote “Only Woman Bleed”, told City Slang during a recent interview for a forthcoming feature that he wrote a ballad for the new album but hasn’t performed on it.

Still, a new Alice Cooper album is reason enough to celebrate, especially when it features members of the original Alice Cooper Group. It should be fun.
