Los Angeles based music photographer Naomi Petersen (1964-2003) was an intimate part of the punk community in the area in the 1980s and '90s. Her friend, compatriot, former co-worker at SST Records and longtime champion, the writer Joe Carducci, is offering vintage T-shirts from her own collection on eBay to help fund "the establishment and preservation of the Naomi Petersen Photo Archive." This is your chance to own some very cool wearable artifacts and donate to a good cause. You might have to dig deep on a few of these, though; that Flag shirt pictured above is going for over $300 at the moment.
Naomi is best known as SST Record's staff photographer, having taken her first picture of Black Flag in 1981 at age 17. She was intimately involved with the underground music scene of the 80s/90s and was more than someone who simply documented the scene, being a fan and friend of the groups she photographed. A few of the bands she shot were: Black Flag, Husker Du, Minor Threat, Nirvana, Meat Puppets, Minutemen, Saccharine Trust, Saint Vitus, Guns & Roses and Corrosion Of Conformity, as well as nearly every band that released a record on SST in the 80s. Her photographs appeared in countless fanzines and newspapers across the globe. If you are a fan of the underground of this era, chances are you've seen one of her photos.

If you would like to learn more about Naomi and her work, please buy the book Enter Naomi - SST, L.A. and All That, hereProceeds from this sale will go towards the establishment and preservation of the Naomi Petersen Photo Archive. Upon request, a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) will be provided for each shirt puchased, signed by Naomi's brother.

In the coming weeks and months I will be listing this collection of shirts, consisting of nearly 300 items. While the collection is primarily music, there are also Skate, Pop Culture, Travel/Places, Fashion, etc. All original, all dating from the 80s & 90s. Please "follow" me as a seller so you know when I have posted more shirts. These shirts were well-loved and incredibly well cared for - most are in outstanding condition and some are unworn! This is an opportunity that will not present itself twice.
