Detroit Fleat, a new food truck park on Ferndale's former Wing Hing property, opens today at 5 p.m.

The park features a Mexican street food and sliders restaurant with a full bar that also serves Treat Dreams' ice cream. It will be joined by three food trucks that include Delectabowl, Pita Post, and the Mac Shack. Drifter Coffee and a rotating selection of trucks will park in the fourth slot.

Each truck will maintain a permanent trailer onsite, which means they're still free to go to rallies and other events. Seating at picnic tables with umbrellas and indoor seating is available for more than 100 guests, and the full bar features an extensive wine and cocktail program.

After today, hours are 11 a.m.-midnight Tues.-Thurs.; 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Fri.; 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Sat.; and 10 a.m.-midnight Sun. Closed Mondays. Call (248) 607-7611 or visit detroitfleat.com for more information. The park is at 1820 E. Nine Mile Road, Ferndale.
