Keeping it simple — and simply orange—is Pahl's Pumpkin Patch, which offers a u-pick patch for all your pumpkin needs, as well as a corn maze, doughnuts, cider, and gourds. Pahl's opens for the season on September 18.
Opened in 1958, Kapnick Orchards has its own product line, bakery, and cider mill. If pumpkin picking isnt your thing it should be you can try picking any of the orchard's other fruits like apples, pears, and grapes.
DeBuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Belleville lets you pick the level you get lost in the corn. There's an easy corn maze for a quick escape, a hard corn maze if you like to be stumped and of course there's an intermediate one if you fall somewhere in between. You're guaranteed to have a blast at The Blast Corn Maze. The fun doesn't stop in the corn field, take some time to enjoy the scenery with a cool cider slush and a warm doughnut. Blast Corn Maze opens for the season on September 24.
If you don’t feel like traveling too far outside of Detroit, Franklin Cider Mill is a great place to get your cider and doughnut fix. Located in Bloomfield Hills, the mill operates through Thanksgiving.
