Fortune released a story today about what an awesome place Detroit is for female entrepreneurs. In it they mentioned El Dorado General Store, a new Corktown boutique that's owned and operated by Erin Gavle. We like Gavle and her store (a lot), but we were sad the article didn't mention other, longer-standing businesses like Tulani Rose, Rachel's Place, and Savvy Chic, all of which are local-and-lady owned businesses in Detroit.
We get it, it's about the "New Detroit," but what about paying homage to the woman who paved the way from the "Old Detroit"?
