(Source: Wikimedia Commons) Elaine Stritch dropped by the set of NBC's Today show this morning to promote the release of her documentary Shoot Me. During the interview, Stritch flustered hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford in a beautiful moment of national television. Stritch, who turned 89 this month, dropped an F-bomb in response to a rambling question from Gifford.

"Elaine, you are so beloved," Gifford said, unaware Stritch was teeing up a live television faux-paus. "As much for your work, of course, but for your mouth. You know, you say whatever you want to say! When did that all happen?"

Stritch responded with: "If you just say things naturally, it's fine! You know, they just think in fuck."

Exactly, they think in fuck. Today's censors dropped the ball, and Stritch's line passed by unedited.
