Detroit blues-rock mainstays the Muggs are survivors. Not only did they climb out of the pit of early-aughts era garage rock, but after bassist Tony DeNardo suffered and recovered from a massive stroke shortly after forming, they re-emerged as what they refer to as the Muggs 2.0, with DeNardo as a keyboardist. The “Ugliest Band in the World” will return to Cadieux Cafe, where singer Danny Methric and DeNardo worked half of their lives, with a supporting lineup that includes Aaron Garcia, Party Days, Big Donut, Bave, and Douche & the Bags.

The Muggs will perform wsg beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at Cadieux Cafe; 4300 Cadieux Rd., Detroit; cadieuxcafe.com. Tickets are $5.
