Royce da 5'9" and Dej Loaf are performing a free show in Detroit and Wu-Tang is involved

It was announced Friday morning that two of Detroit's favorite hip-hop voices are teaming up for a free performance, and apparently, Wu-Tang Clan will be there in spirit.

Longtime rapper Royce da 5'9" and the reluctant, on-the-rise star Dej Loaf will be joined by DJ House Shoes for "The Only On Earth Event" at the Majestic Theatre on Sept. 12. In addition to performances, the event is set to include a special announcement by Wu-Tang Clan.

While it is likely the announcement will be delivered in the form of Skype or a pre-recorded video rather than by Wu-Tang in the flesh, anything can happen.
Both Royce and Dej were featured on Eminem's star-studded "Detroit Vs. Everybody" in 2015. While Royce most recently appeared on Em's out-of-nowhere record Kamikaze following his seventh solo record Book of Ryan back in May, Dej Loaf has been teasing her highly anticipated debut record Liberated since 2017 and even released the album's title track in collaboration with Leon Bridges. Yet, no release date has been announced.

The performance is free with an RSVP and attendees are suggested by the venue to arrive early as it is likely to reach capacity. RSVP's can be made here.
