Rapper Lil George signs with Sony

Lil George — the Detroit rapper is best-known for his single, “Sauce” — inked a deal with Sony Music Group on Monday, according to his Instagram. 

The recent high school graduate was molded by BMB Records, an independent Detroit-based record label, before making a move in his budding music career by signing a major recording deal with Sony. He made the announcement to his fans and supporters via his Instagram, posting, "Signed a Deal with Sony…….The feeling is wonderful #WorkTime BMB."

BMB Records — aka "Breaking Major Barriers" — is owned and operated by Lil George’s father and includes a variety of other popular acts like Charli Baltimore, Fool Boy Marley, Kash Doll, and more.
