A new Joe Muer location opens this week in Bloomfield Township, while Eddie V's - an upscale steak and seafood restaurant - debuts in Troy on June 19.
Crain's reports that Joe Muer was supposed to open in February at the former Kingsley Inn at 39475 Woodward Ave., but landlord-related issues delayed the project.
Joe Vicari, CEO of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, says the company is investing $2.5 million in the 9,000-square-foot space, and he estimates it will generate $7 million in revenues annually.
The menu will look the same as that in Joe Muer's downtown location with a focus on fresh fish, a sushi bar, a raw oyster bar, poultry, beef, and lamb.
Eddie V's, a chain with 18 locations nationwide, is opening a 267-seat location at 2100 W. Big Beaver Rd. It will specialize in handcut steaks and seafood like parmesan sole, Chilean sea bass, swordfish steak, Norwegian salmon, and Pacific ahi tuna.
“We are a prime seafood house and our fish will be flown in daily so it will be incredibly fresh,” Mark Flora, managing partner of Eddie V’s, tells dBusiness. “At the same time, we will offer an excellent steak program so our diners will have a large selection of menu items to choose from.”
