Coming up in metro Detroit, there are events for everyone, from a variety of music performances to comedy shows to the Autorama, art talks, and more. Add something new to your schedule this week, and you’re sure to enjoy yourself.

20th Annual Art, Beats + Lyrics Urban Art Showcase

When: March 1 from 7 p.m.-midnight
Where: Eastern Market
What: A national art and music tour
Who: Art and music enthusiasts
Why: Launched in 2004 by Cult Creative as a local art show in Atlanta, Art, Beats + Lyrics provides a platform to celebrate art and hip-hop culture, mixed with Jack Danie’s Tennessee Honey.

Why: Over 800 of the hottest custom cars in the world will be on display in the Motor City, with builders from across the country competing for The Ridler Award, the highest honor in hot rodding.
