In the world of fashion, few brands spark as much envy as Italian luxury brand Versace.

Developed by the late Gianni Versace in 1978, Versace has long been revered as one of the premier fashion brands worldwide for its bright kitschy colors, luxurious detail, and commitment to high-quality materials. Most recently, Versace — under the design leadership of sister Donatella since Gianni's murder in 1997 — sees the Italian brand collaborate with Ford Motor Company for a one-year licensing deal to use the iconic blue Ford logo in the fashion house's designs.

That finally came to the runway during the recent Milan Fashion Week which saw Versace's menswear line adorn several pieces with the Ford logo.

According to Versace, the collaboration was inspired by the "excitement of buying your first car." Versace uses the Ford logo to reflect the "aspiration of owning something as an extension of one’s personality, something very connected to the idea of being a man."

This isn't the first time that Versace has collaborated with an automotive company. In 2006, Versace partnered with Lamborghini for the Lamborghini LP640 VERSACE vehicle that featured leather seats embroidered with the Versace logo.
