How's this for a smoldering hot night of primetime television in metro Detroit? This evening, Gov. Rick Snyder will deliver his fifth State of the State speech tonight at 7 p.m.; Parks and Recreation will continue its final season at 8 p.m.; and Barack Obama will deliver his sixth State of the Union address at 9 p.m.
If it interests you to understand what our governor's priorities are this upcoming year, Snyder will talk your ear off for about an hour this evening. He's expected to call on voters to approve a sales tax increase to fund roads, and will announce a merger of Michigan's Department of Human Services and Department of Community Health, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The speech will be carried on a live-stream at www.house.mi.gov and public radio stations, including 101.9 FM-WDET.
