Second Video of Mayor Fouts With Assistant Circulates, City Council Meeting Awaits

Tonight's city council meeting in Warren should be a humdinger, as they say.

In the last week, two videos have surfaced purportedly showing Warren Mayor Jim Fouts engaging in, as the videos subtitle the actions, PDA with his executive assistant Amanda Mika. (PDA in this case means holding hands, so don't get too excited.) The problem, of course, is that Fouts has never confirmed the relationship (though some call it an open secret) and that he gave Mika a $5,000 raise, presumably after the relationship began. He claims the raise was for taking on extra duties. Opponents say Fouts is full of it.

After the first video surfaced, Warren Mayor Pro Tem Scott Stevens told the Free Press he plans to reintroduce a proposed ordinance at today’s city council meeting that would change the code of ethics to, among other things, ban fraternization, nepotism and sexual harassment.
