Safe Choice Security recently compared property and violent crime statistics provided by the FBI from over 200 municipalities from 2007 to 2012 and came up with a list of 25 Michigan cities that have become safer over the five year period.

According to Safe Choice Security, the 25 cities all have advanced police programs, services, and techniques that help keep their citizens safe. By the way, Safe Choice Security is a home security company.

The list including downriver cities Riverview and Woodhaven as well as northern suburbs like Hunington Woods. Grosse Pointe Farms and Brighton were noted and Milford, Midland, Petoskey, Brighton, and St. Clair made the list as well.

In case you were wondering, Detroit didn't make the list.
