In celebration of Eminem's latest album, SHADYXV, which MT wrote about at length last week, an ice cream shop in New York City is unveiling a new flavor to coincide with today's release.

Mikey Likes It Ice Cream, an East Village shop that bills itself as the world's first pop culture-inspired premium ice cream brand, boasting flavors such as "Ice Ice Baby," (triple vanilla ice cream made with Madagascan, Mexican and Tahitian vanilla beans) and "Pretty in Pink," (strawberry ice cream with strawberries macerated in balsamic vinegar and cracked black pepper), is adding the flavor SHADYXV to its repertoire today.

"We’ve collaborated on a flavor sharing the same name that screams Detroit," the ice cream shop website states. "SHADYXV is made with Motor City ingredients: Michigan cherries, Sanders Hot Fudge and Vernors Ginger Ale."

What's more, Slaughter House is slated to appear at the flavor launch, which takes place today from 4 - 8 p.m. at the NYC outlet.

"This will be a great day for Eminem fans. You can meet Slaughter House, pick up the double disk and a double scoop," the Mikey Likes It Ice Cream website said.

The turnout will likely be pretty hefty. Folks are already posting photos of police barricades that are being set up in anticipation of tonight's event.
