How often have you been sitting at your favorite watering hole craving some borscht or pierogi? If your answer is "every fucking day" then we have just the thing for you.

Bumbo's, a new Polish pop-up, will set up shop at Nancy Whiskey in Detroit this Sunday, July 20 serving up a modern take on ethnic classics like those delicious little cheese-filled dumplings and the Poland's signature sausage: Kielbasa.

Crafted by Brian Krawczyk, the cuisine includes pierogi stuffed with potato, dill, and smoked gouda topped with roasted apple cream; kielbasa sliders topped with caramelized onion-rhubarb-apple relish; cold green borscht with sorrel, spinach, scallions, zucchini, and kefir; and summer salatka with cucumbers, carrot, radish, and fresh herbs.

According to Dan Carey of the hosting establishment, Bumbo's pop-up first premiered at Nancy Whiskey in June and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

"Brian has a really great twist on Polish food," says Carey. "The food was so good we couldn't wait for him and his wife Tia to come back."

Food will be available from 6 to 10 p.m. For more info check out the Facebook event page.

Nancy Whiskey is located at 2264 Harrison Street Detroit.
