Bryan Cranston to play Michigan serial killer in new film

Actor Bryan Cranston, best known for his role as Walter White in AMC's Breaking Bad (aka one of the most ingenious shows in the history of American television), will play a Michigan serial killer in a new film, Holland, Michigan. Naomi Watts is also slated to star.

The film, directed by Errol Morris, has been described as "Hitchcock-like" and revolves around a seemingly normal suburban couple — or so it appears — until the wife (Watts) accuses her husband (Cranston) of adultery, and bingo bango, she discovers his other love isn't a person — it's murder.

Sounds like a perfect segue for Cranston, right?

Early reports indicate the film will take place during a tulip festival, i.e., Holland's annual Tulip Time event, and on-site shoots are a possibility.

A release date hasn't yet been announced, but Morris says production will start later this year.
