Your Monday morning pick-me-up is this live show Television played in Cleveland 40 years ago

Forty years ago, in their first foray outside of New York City, the rock band Television played with Rocket from the Tombs at the invitation of RFTT's Peter Laughner. They played the Piccadilly Inn on July 25, 1975. Cleveland was of course as much a source of proto/early punk excellence as NYC, but you know that already.

You can download the show thanks to the blog Aquarium Drunkard, right here. The sound is pretty good and drummer Billy Ficca is a monster on these recordings. The band was clearly super energized by the recent replacement of Richard Hell with Fred Smith on bass.

Alright, that's enough fun for a Monday morning! We must all return to our Monday morning, now.
