Singer-songwriter Mike Posner has had a weird career. The metro Detroit native catapulted to fame with his 2010 single "Cooler Than Me." At some point he took a pill in Ibiza with a random Irish dude to "show Avicci [he] was cool," and wrote another hit song about it. There was also that time he showed up at the Grammys looking like Jared Leto's Joker, insisting on only answering red carpet questions through a mediator.

So it might be no surprise that for his latest trick, Posner has embarked on a walking tour of the U.S. that has no set tour dates. The tour started on April 15 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and ends in Venice Beach, Calif. Apparently for everything in between, Posner is just winging it.

"The route is subject to change," he says on his website. "Projecting dates is impossible due to weather and the condition of my body. Also, if I feel like changing my mind, I will."

"The walk is something he has wanted to do for years and decided now is finally the time to accomplish it," according to a press release from Olympia.

Fortunately for Posner's Detroit fans, that includes a Motor City date. On Wednesday, Olympia Entertainment announced that the meandering tour will include an acoustic performance at City Theatre at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29. Tickets start at $30 and are available from 313Presents.com.

You know, unless Posner decides to change his mind.
