COMING ALIVE!

If you're headed to Pine Knob tonight to catch the Peter Frampton show, you may wanna be aware of a few Detroit connections taking place on that mammoth stage. For one thing, Frampton's current touring drummer is Warren native Dan Wojciechowski, who graduated from high school there in 1984 and has been drumming professionally ever since. Wojciechowski, who's been bashing on things since the age of 5, has worked on projects in the past by the Backstreet Boys and Olivia Newton John, among numerous others.

Opening tonight's show is D-Town's own Detroit Pony Express, whose "No Home" song has been getting pretty steady rotation on WRIF lately. The band -- which also recently won the local Fox Rocks competition -- recently completed its first full-length album with local legends Vinnie Dombroski and Andy Patalan of Sponge fame. Nice going, dudes.
