Clare, MI, group the Kari Lynch Band is one of 11 finalists in the Charter Center Stage Battle of the Bands competition. According to a statement released by the band, the top vote-getters from each region were announced this week, and the winning local band will kick-off the show featuring Panic! At the Disco, Fitz & The Tantrums, Plain White Ts, and receive prize package valued at nearly $25,000.

After more than 300 submissions,” they say, “the 11 regional finalists were announced this week; voting for these top 11 bands (one from each region) will begin on Sept. 18 – lasting for one week – to determine the final winner. (The top 11 got this far by votes as well, some even promising exclusive content to their fans in exchange for diligent voting.)”

The winning band with the most votes will be announced on September 26 and will get that $25 grand prize, as well as the chance to play on a big stage and be broadcast live on a Facebook webcast. Five runners up get a $2,500 gift card, but we don’t want that for our peeps.
