They say, “Grand Circus Media, Liquid Events Detroit, and The Ark - Ann Arbor proudly kick off the 2014 festival season with the second installment of the Gardenia Bluegrass & Roots Festival. A benefit for local Royal Oak charity Camp Casey, Gardenia is a high energy and foot stomping affair at the Royal Oak Farmers Market that showcases some of the best in national and regional bluegrass, folk, and roots music as well as a range of craft brews, spirits, local eateries and artisans.”

“Gardenia will benefit local charity, Camp Casey, a Royal Oak based charity who raises funds in support of horseback-riding programs for children fighting cancer. Powered by generous donations and amazing volunteers, Camp Casey has helped spread the healing power of horses for over eight years. The festival aims to draw attention to Michigan’s cultural roots by means of community gathering and dancing. As one the sites of metro-Detroit’s food and mercantile co-operatives, The Royal Oak Farmer’s Market serves as the perfect venue for the festival’s theme of collective-roots and shared purpose. Tickets are on sale now.”
