Save the date: Metro Times' oyster-tasting event Shuck Yeah! returns Sept. 30
Dontae Rockeymore

Last year, Metro Times threw Shuck Yeah!, our inaugural oyster-tasting event at the Roostertail. This year the sophomorically named event returns on Sunday, Sept. 30, this time for a three-venue takeover at Ferndale's Woodward Avenue Brewers, the Loving Touch, and the WAB's attached Port bar. Tickets are $35 and include six drinks and six oysters, plus unlimited food samplings from participating restaurants — or $45 at the door.

In addition to all things oyster, Shuck Yeah! will have bloody Marys, cocktails, beers, and plenty of food samples. Participating restaurants include Beans & Cornbread, Blackfinn Ameripub, Brujo Tacos & Tapas, Buddy's Pizza, Café Muse, Jim Brady's Detroit, Kona Grill, Roostertail, and Tom's Oyster Bar, with more to be added. (Don't worry: We'll have the Lions vs. the Cowboys game on, too.)

You can learn more or buy tickets at mtshuckyeah.com. In the meantime, you can revisit last year's Shuck Yeah! here.
