Disaster Relief with Thornetta Davis

Ann Arbor jazz-funk ensemble, Disaster Relief, teamed up with Detroit's " Queen of the Blues," Thornetta Davis, for a new release, "How I Feel," which is out now on vinyl from Ann Arbor's Ravine Records. The new collaboration bridges the gritty funk sounds of Disaster Relief with Thornetta's distinctive , bluesy soul. Disaster Relief also has a new album, "Back Into It," which expands their eclectic palette of horn-driven jazz, funk and global-influenced jams. Dani Darling opens the show. An imaginative, chanteuse, guitarist, and songwriter, her EP, "The Future" shows her stylistic range from lo-fi neo soul to psychedelic funk.
