Sonnet Slam

Join InsideOut Literary Arts and Shakespeare in Detroit for a raucous celebration of Shakespeare's birthday and National Poetry Month as local theater performers and spoken word poets face off to see who will take home the title of Sonnet Slam Champion! Hosted by Satori Shakoor and featuring many special guest artists, this event promises to engage and delight audiences in the power of the spoken word. There will be a short open mic so bring a favorite sonnet to read. The event is free. Complimentary refreshments provided. Trinosophes is located at 1464 Gratiot Ave. in Eastern Market.
