Horoscopes (Oct. 26-Nov. 1)

SCORPIO: October 21 – November 20 The relationship situation is taking off. It is interesting because, for the first time in your life this isn't the least bit complicated. Don't take me to mean that I think you're ready to walk down the aisle. While that could be true, what I mean about your relationships taking off relates more to the idea that you have finally figured out how to connect with people creatively in more ways than one. As the people who seem to care keep showing up to prove their worth, give them plenty of time to show you who they are. This isn't your first rodeo. Don't be stupid about it.

SAGITTARIUS: November 21 – December 20 You've come full circle. If everything seems like a rerun of things that were going on a few, or up to 20 years back, you'd do well to reflect on the nature of the circumstances. It wouldn't surprise me if your mother, or your mother issues, are all over the place. Parental stuff in general has got to be strong, so 'Dad's' here too, one way or another. Not to get too psychiatric, but, you've got too much going on inside to be saddled with a lot of bullshit and responsibility in your work area. For the time being, there is no choice but to keep the faith and keep on trucking.

CAPRICORN: December 21 - January 20 You keep waiting for things to turn around. The sense that everything hinges on someone waking up enough to see things your way has been driving you nuts. In so many ways, you have the right idea, but your perspective is warped by your sense of the past and by what you think that people owe you. If you were less dead-set on making this happen, you would see that stepping back, and allowing others to go full on with whatever their dreams contain, will wind up doing more to serve your cause, and enhance this connection, than your efforts to control the way things go.

AQUARIUS: January 21 – February 20 Your work situation is alive and kicking. It looks like whatever's going on will give you a chance to work more independently. There could be new dynamics that make it possible for you to have more to say about what gets done. Next to all of this your private reality has issues that relate to someone's expectations looming a little too large. It's one thing to be there for the people you love; it's quite another to co-depend. This is one of those times when you have to remain flexible and open enough to respect their point of view, while sticking to your guns at the same time.

PISCES: February 21 – March 20 If you're tired of putting up with this, I can see why. You've been patient. You've accepted the way things are. You've even made peace with the fact that you went over the edge a long time ago. As you try to make sense of how your current situation got so intense, know that there is nothing intrinsically wrong, or the least bit off-kilter about any of this. As soon as you begin to see the creative potential in things that are not subject to normal rules and procedures, what you've been waiting for will materialize and that which has kept you stuck will cease to be a handicap.

ARIES: March 21 – April 20 Levels of hypocrisy, and the risk of self sabotage are on the verge of screwing everything up. It's time to haul back and look at your motives. The extent to which you are fooling yourself, and bypassing your denial mechanisms with spiritual platitudes, keeps you totally asleep to what you are doing to yourself. If the jig isn't already up, you have one last chance to rescue this situation. As much as you are good at making believe you've got it all figured out, more than likely, you're scared to death, wondering how in God's name you're going to pull yourself out of this hole.

TAURUS: April 21 – May 20 The pressure to perform is more like the ghost of your father telling you you're not doing it right. Half your life has been spent over doing the need to be perfect. Somewhere along the way you lost your connection to whatever it means to be you. The changes in your external reality, especially as far as your work is concerned, are a sign that the bigger part of you has overtaken the shadow of parental expectation. Now that you're free, who knows what you'll be able to do? It's clear to me that your life is too big to get stuck inside anyone's limits, including your own.

GEMINI: May 21 – June 20 Too much is going on for you to see any of it clearly. Your relationship with the women in your life has got to be nuts. Making peace with other people's craziness is never easy. It would help if you could realize that there's only so much you can do. They have to figure out how to get to the bottom of things on their own. The business of being there for people comes down to being there for yourself. It could cost you a dose of approval, but, in the long run, what leaving them to their own devices does to reinforce their strength, will make everything you're doing so much better.

CANCER: June 21 – July 20 You have woken up to more truth in the last year or so, than you've had to look at in your whole life. It's been an amazing process, stretching your boundaries beyond everything you thought you were put here to do. With pieces of the past left in the dust, as the season unfolds you will be freer and better able to get in touch with what's next. Openings will appear. There will be gifts that show up in the form of people and opportunities that turn out to be just what the doctor ordered. If your bigger dreams start coming true, count your blessings and don't mess them up!

LEO: July 21 – August 20 If there is a hold up, or a situation in which you have no choice but to stay put, don't add to the sense of pressure by wishing something else was happening. Whatever this looks like to you, it would be good if you could see it as a regulating mechanism. In situations where change is the order of the day, very often, right before everything starts to move, there is a still point that makes it seem like nothing is ever going to shift. You are sitting in that nothingness. Use this time to expand your awareness of what is to come by breathing into the moment and being there for it.

VIRGO: August 21 – September 20 Poised on a line there are decisions to be made. This would be easier if the rest of the world didn't seem like it's ready to explode. You've got to find a way to keep things going in two places at once; either that or you're switching horses in midstream and your energy is split between the past and the future. You will get a better handle on it if you go back seven years and notice how much your experience in the interim has changed pretty much everything. In light of all of that, what's in front of you now needs to be assessed according to whatever it takes to keep growing.

LIBRA: September 21 – October 20 You keep trying to run your life as if it were subject to standard operating procedures at a time when no prescriptions apply. If you think playing it safe and being loyal to the recipe for perfection is working for anyone right now, you are dreaming. Look around — everything is changing. You can hold on to your master plan if it makes you feel better but be wise enough to stay flexible. The vicissitudes of providence are a huge factor in everything we do. Anything can happen and your long term goals need to include a parachute, just in case everything goes kaput.
