Clawson Lions Club “Down on Main Street” Car Show

One week before the Dream Cruise on Woodward, the Clawson Lions Club will be hosting its own show, “Down on Main Street”. The event will take over downtown Clawson on Saturday, August 13, 2022 on Main Street (Livernois) from 14 Mile, 1/2 mile south to the City limits. Registration is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Judging begins at 9:00 AM.

The Clawson Lions expect more than 8,000 car owners and visitors to come to town and pour over a half-mile of vehicles -- more than 400 entries ranging from antiques to street rods, muscle cars, trucks, boats, choppers, antique campers and bicycles. Admission to the show is free to the public with an entry fee for vehicles displayed in the show. Entry forms are available online at http://www.clawsonlions.org.

In addition to being totally dazzled by all the chrome, whitewalls, fuzzy dice, thumping exhausts and flashy paint jobs, you’ll be able to dance in the street to the sounds of the 50’s and 60’s with DJ Rockin’ Ronnie, check out the great deals offered by local shops and vendors and stuff yourself silly with great food.

In its 24th year, the “Down on Main Street” Car Show is a major fundraising project sponsored by the Clawson Lions Club. All proceeds from the show will go to Leader Dogs for the Blind, Beaumont Silent Children, and the Penrickton Center for Blind Children as well as the many other charities and projects supported throughout the year by the Club. The Clawson Lions Club, a member of Lions Clubs International, has been serving the area since 1944.
