It's been a dreary start to spring. The weather has taken its time warming up. The days have been cloudy, rainy, or snowy — or all three. But with each passing week, there comes new hope that we will see summer some day soon.

And what does summer mean? New sneakers. Gone are the days when you need to plan which shoes to wear based on how many inches of fluffy stuff would be settling on the ground. Now, all your favorite pairs can come out of the closet and once again be worn without fear.

Bob's Classic Kicks has a cadre of colorful cleats inside a store that's just as bright as the shoes. Found on Woodward Avenue in Midtown, the shop is in close proximity to Wayne State University, the DIA, the Majestic Complex, Great Lakes Coffee, and more. It's also in the middle of M-1 Rail construction, but don't let that deter you from hitting up this shop.

Bob's Facebook and website aren't consistently updated, which means you'll have to shop in-store, and stop in on the regular, if you're hoping to get some of the more exclusive releases. The store carries Nike, ASICS, Puma, Adidas, Reebok, and other brands. They carry classics from the brands as well as bombastic, colorful, and trendy styles. They've got stuff for men and women, along with clothing, hats, and other accessories — and nearly all their stock is sure to brighten even the dreariest day.
