It’s hard to believe that we’ve been making fun of movies for 30 years alongside sassy, shiny, silhouetted robots and cult movie critics Tom Servo and Crow. But like many things, Mystery Science Theater 3000 has gotten better — and in this case, snarkier — with time.

Jonah Ray, host of the Netflix reboot MST3K: The Return, will join show creator Joel Hodgson and they will call upon their robo-friends to poke fun at two films never before screened by the MST3K crew. That includes Canadian science fiction horror (and horribly bad) film The Brain (1988) and the 1983 Argentine-American fantasy adventure film Deathstalker.

MST 3000 performances are at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28 at Royal Oak Music Theatre; 318 W. Fourth St., Royal Oak; 248-399-2980; royaloakmusictheatre.com; Tickets are $39.50.
