Kyle Huntoon has a story like many others. He got a degree in engineering and began his life in the corporate world, only to realize he’d rather spend his days making and crafting his own designs. With a friend he started designing in his spare time and when the right moment came, he quit his job and went to professional woodworking school in order to improve his skillset in the field he liked most. Now he works as the designer and creator behind Hunt and Noyer, a Detroit-based woodworking studio that makes custom furniture along with these fun beer holders he calls Motor City Sixers. While Huntoon doesn’t have a brick-and-mortar store, you can pick up this fun six-pack holder at City Bird and Nest or on his Etsy page. They’re made from pine with a leather strap that’s stamped “Handmade in Detroit.” The high quality wood coupled with a durable design makes them great for picnics. We suggest one as a smart housewarming present for your favorite craft beer fanatic.
