The yearly political fete that is the Mackinac Policy Conference takes place on Mackinac Island from May 26 through May 31. If you're unfamiliar with the legislative romp, check out Ryan Felton's cover story about the annual affair

Anyway, this year, the conference will feature a small segment called "Building Bridges to Small Businesses." Four Detroit pop-up shops will be showcased and Peacock Room's Rachel Lutz organized the whole thing. Lutz says she put the showcase together to "highlight the viability and importance entrepreneurship and small business to the growth and sustainability of Michigan’s business market."

The shopping experience will take place at the Mission Point Resort on May 28 from 3-7 p.m. Rebel Nell, Sweet Potato Sensations, and Cyberoptix Ties will be featured there along with Lutz's Peacock Room

Other Detroit-based businesses will be represented at the market including Our/Detroit, Batch Brewing, and Two James.
