Before you stuff yourself with turkey and get into an argument with your Trump-voting family (Aunt Becky, we see you!) America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade returns for its 92nd year to deliver pure, unadulterated joy.

Six new floats will make their debut alongside crowd favorites, all leading up to an appearance by the man, the myth, the jolly legend — Santa friggin’ Clause. CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz will serve as the parade’s grand marshal and will be joined by Disney Channel star Sofia Wylie, former Detroit Tiger Jack Morris, Boston Marathon winner Desiree Linden, and Broadway’s Aladdin star Korie Lee Blossey. Members of Aretha Franklin’s family will also join the parade with a performance from Cass Tech High School Marching Band.

America's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22 at Kirby Street and Woodward Avenue; theparade.org; Event is free.
