Putting a dummy face down in your yard in Detroit will draw police interest, sadden neighbors

Detroiter Kendrick Hardaway says every year his mother puts out a dummy in her front yard as part of her Halloween decorations. But this year, the prank is drawing an unexpected amount of attention.

Hardaway posted the photo to his Facebook on Wednesday, saying that this year Detroit police and EMS keep coming to pick up what they thought was a dead body. Hardaway tells us that responders came at least three times on Tuesday and four times on Wednesday to rescue the body.

"People keep coming by trying to help the dummy," Hardaway tells us. "My mom says her neighbor was crying cause she thought it was a real guy."

At least it's evidence that Detroit police are responsive.

So, every year around Halloween my mom makes a dummy as part of her Halloween decor and sets it somewhere outside of her...
