Christmas came early for Detroit indie-darling Stef Chura.

Chura, who signed to Saddle Creek Records last month, landed a coveted spot on a year-end list with none other than Rolling Stone. '15 Great Albums You Probably Didn't Hear in 2017' features Chura's debut LP Messes, calling it "perceptive," "compelling," and sly in its use of irony. Writer Simon Vozick-Levinson labels the album's opener "Slow Motion" "one of 2017's best opening tracks."

Also on the list are Cecile McLorin Salvant's Dreams and Daggers, Sneaks' It's A Myth, and Ratboys' GN.
