The first new Meatmen studio album in 20 years, and nothing has changed in those two decades. But then, what the fuck did you expect? That Tesco Vee would mellow out and go acoustic? Not while there’s breath in his lungs. “I’m the sinner, I’m the saint, I’m the tonguer of the taint,” Vee sings on “Dinosaur.” Elsewhere, there are songs with titles like “The Ballad of Stinky Penis” and “Big Bloody Booger on the Bathroom Wall.” Nothing has been toned down, and the songs are as fast and furious as ever. A dinosaur Vee may be, and he’s aging perfectly disgracefully.
