It could be argued that you don't need 1,000 musicians to perform The White Stripes pulsing-rock anthem "Seven Nation Army" — you just need two. But the folks over at Rockin' 1000 beg to differ.

Over the years, Rockin' 1000 has successfully organized massive music events where thousands of musicians unite to perform one song simultaneously. This year, they have their ears set on Detroit.

The call for musicians is open for guitarists, drummers, bassists, and vocalists to perform the White Stripes 2008 jam on Belle Isle on July 3.

The performance will be filmed for a "huge popular award-winning television show" and musicians from all walks of life are invited to apply. There are a few conditions to note before sending in your application video:

- Musicians are responsible for bringing their own instruments and everything else you might need.

- Setup begins at 9:30 a.m, rehearsals start at 2:30
p.m., and filming begins at 6 p.m. and wraps by 7 p.m.

- Musicians must study the song independently before the event. Click tracks and tutorials will be provided.

Participants must wear solid colors without logos, no white clothing or busy patterns.
- Food and drinks will be provided.
