Detroit goth wave duo Serration Pulse has released details on its first proper output — a self-titled, self-recorded, and self-produced three-song EP to be released on vinyl by Third Man Records on Aug. 10.

One of Metro Times' "Bands to Watch in 2018," Serration Pulse is comprised of metro Detroit natives Daniel Tomczak (Terrible Twos) and vocalist Kayla Anderson. The pair spent several years in Nashville (where they opened for fellow Detroit coldwavers ADULT. as part of TMR's live to acetate series) before returning home to flesh out their synth-heavy debut. Anderson provides breathy vocals, adding a humanizing warmth against the sterility of distortion and rolling anxiety. The result? A feral and frenetic soundscape that seduces, sedates, and sadist-fies.

To coincide with the announcement, Serration Pulse premiered visuals for "The Beach" — a slithering black-and-blue toned distress call complete with vacant stares, TV static, and an unnerving amount of skin peeling.
