Tim Allen

Known for the repertoire of “manly” gorilla noises that made up 85 percent of his script as Tim “the Toolman” Taylor on ’90s sitcom Home Improvement, Tim Allen will appear for a one-night-only engagement in Royal Oak. Allen, also the voice of Pure Michigan, drew criticism for his support of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election and his popular ABC series, Last Man Standing, was subsequently canceled. He once called his 18-month-old daughter a “bitch from hell” during a standup routine, so it’s a pretty sure bet this show won’t adhere to current standards of political correctness.

Doors open at 7 p.m.; 318 W. Fourth St., Royal Oak; romtlive.com; Tickets are $55-$125; 18 and older only.
