If you religiously tune in to those quiz shows on NPR, this is likely already your favorite band. After all, Mountain Goats leader John Darnielle is wittier and prettier than Jonathans Franzen and Lethem combined. Darnielle’s catchy indie-pop answers the eternal question, “What if They Might Be Giants had released cassette tapes on XPressway”?
