Songs and Stories from the Ballrooms of Detroit

Pam Jaslove Quartet performs selections from the "Great American Songbook" during “Songs and Stories from the Ballrooms of Detroit” at 6:30 p.m. June 17 at the Southfield Public Library meeting room, including great songs written between 1912 and the 1960s, by composers like Irving Berlin, Rogers and Hart, George and Ira Gershwin and Fats Waller and performed by great singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee. Tickets are $5 at the door (no charge for children under 12; $2 with a SPL card).
