Lecture: Designing for the Seams: Rethinking the Value of Seamless to Create Better Physical & Digital In-Betweens in Transportation
When: Wed., Jan. 11, 6-8 p.m. 2017
The word “seamless” is too often bandied
about in transportation design literature. “Seamless” is not only an impossible fantasy—it’s not the experience we should be designing anyway. Instead, we should be creating breakthroughs within the “seams,” all those in-between moments in every journey. Better “seams” provide real design opportunity. TEAGUE’s Devin Liddell and Matt McElvogue will illuminate this opportunity via explorations in conceptual airlines, commuter bicycle
prototypes, autonomous taxibots, and more.
