'Halloween' midnight screening

Originally released in 1978, this classic slasher flick has become requisite viewing in October. A masked Michael Myers will filet his victims for your viewing pleasure during this two-night series at Royal Oak’s indie movie house. Tickets are cheap — you just have to imbibe enough alcohol and coffee to stay up after midnight. The theater will also play The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Oct. 27 and 28 and the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Nov. 3 and 4 in honor of All Hallows’ Eve.

Shows start at midnight; 118 N. Main St., Royal Oak; 248-542-5198; landmarktheatres.com; Tickets are $7.
