Night of Impossible Flowers

Music, dance, theater and story based on the North European legend of a night-flowering fern, a blossom of fire sought for during nocturnal celebrations. In raising questions about conscious connection to the earth's living system, the piece addresses the human creative flame projected into art and machinery, and the beauty and danger of the impossible fern-flower. Music by Curtis Glatter (percussion), Yana Staples (classical flute), Ephra Ros (Andean kena flute) and Tracy Allyn (vocal). Followed by audience participation in open dancing and celebration. Flow arts (hooping, acrobatic, etc.) are welcome. Rain date: July 8, 7:30 PM.
