Ann Arbor is the most educated city in America

As what comes to a surprise to almost no one (except maybe those who live in rival East Lansing) Ann Arbor was named the most educated city in America, according to a study done by the financial website Wallet Hub.

The website gathered the 150 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the country and compared them all against nine different metrics. Those range from adults aged 25 and older with a bachelor's degree to the quality of the public school system.

Ann Arbor ranked number one in the "Educational Attainment" category and the "Quality of Education and Attainment Gap" category, too.

The city really came through when it came to people with degrees, ranking number one with the highest amount of people over the age of 25 with Associate's, Bachelor's, and Graduate degrees.

The Detroit-Warren-Dearborn area came in at number 78 on the list, beating out other cities like Los Angeles and Toledo.
