Hot dog

Tiger Electronics, the maker of Furbies, recently launched its android dog. Poo-chi is an interactive pup straight out of the Jetsons. Just three AAA batteries fuel hours of sitting, dancing and other nifty tricks – but Poo-chi is more than just cheap thrills. The little electronic canine also sports perky ears, light-up eyes and moving parts to put on an impressive variety of happy puppy faces. It’s hard to believe all this fun fits in the palm of a hand.

Like a real, live pet, Poo-chi reacts to light, sound and touch. It also speaks, sings songs and – like the Furby before it – interacts with other Poo-chi dogs. This hot toy comes in pink, blue or purple and costs about $30. Poo-chi is available at Toys R Us, www.toysrus.com and other toy retailers.
