Retail Detail: American Jewelry & Loan's got fur

Detroit loves fur, says American Jewelry and Loan office administrator Sarah Ullmann. As such, the pawn shop counts an extensive collection of fur coats among its wares, and Ullmann tells us that they've recently started working with a furrier. For a long time, the longer trench style was in vogue, but nowadays a cropped coat is fashionable. Ullmann says they send the coats off to the furrier, who shortens the length of the coat and uses the excess fur to create purses, hats, vests, muffs, and other accessories. You can walk out of the store with a classy mink, fox, or beaver coat starting at $250 and up, and fetch matching accessories from $150 and up.
