While it’s not something nearly as odd like tire builder (South Carolina*), or mining roof bolters (Kentucky), here in Michigan, we boast a considerable amount of one occupation that’s unquestionably unique and cool: tool makers. According to the Washington Post, that’s our state’s most unique job, based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which was then compared to “expected concentration relative to a state’s population to the actual concentration.” 

Two of the most unusual results? How about Hawaii and Nevada, where dancers and gaming supervisors, respectively, hold the honor of most unique occupation.
